The Group-Office basics

You can use Group-Office for a lot of things. It has a calendar, addressbook, project managent, billing and much more.
These elements are all modules of the Group-Office framework. They all use functions of the framework and that makes them work in a unified way. Here we teach you some of the Group-Office basics.

Main menu bars

Group-Office has two main menu's that are always visible no matter where you are in Group-Office:

The top menu

The top menu can be used for:

  1. Searching through Group-Office
  2. It shows the amount of unread messages (if configured)
  3. Gives you access to the configuration pages. Here you can configure all the basics of Group-Office and module specific settings.
  4. Get help. It actually brings you to this website.
  5. Logout from Group-Office

Buttons

The buttons "OK", "Apply" and "Close" will also appear frequentyly. "Apply" saves the changed settings in the current window, "OK" saves the changes and then closes the window and "Close" closes the window without saving the changes.
Tip: In most cases the "Enter" key can be used instead of the "OK" button.

Tables

Group-Office tables all work in the same way. Most of the time you can sort tables by clicking on the column header.
you can select multiple rows by holding the CTRL key or a stack of rows by holding the SHIFT key.

The tables show in multiple pages. The amount of rows displayed per page in a table is configurable at:
Top menu -> Configuration -> Look & Feel -> Maximum number of rows. The default is 15 rows.
